Holy shit the writing is sososososo infinitely awful wtf. So here's my current team instead, with the DQM-standard asterisk that I'm working on some more guys who might be swapped in within the next few hours of gameplay:
(This means spoilers for monsters further in than the tutorial!)
(Did it readmore yet? Ok)
Sus-picious the Ham Shamwitch, my pride and joy who was WAY too many subcombines but reliably shows up to fights to end them. First of my weirdoes to cap a Talent, too! Very good at rocks.
Earring the Raptile, does not have a coherent build but looks cool and bonks stuff without dying in 3 hits so they've been on the team for hours. Also functions as my backup healer (in the sense that I keep forgetting it knows heals, until it saves a teammate's bacon of its own initiative).
Avere the Avian Android, which I made on a lark but PRETTY RAINBOW BIRDTHING!! The "feathers" iridesce in motion. Here to stab things. Voted #1 most likely to accidentally CC despite only using aforementioned stabs.
Jellybean my Cureslime, who is very new and needs to prove itself but I'm proud that I snagged my first D-rank already! I shouldn't have one yet but once I had Sus-picious sorted I permitted myself a bit longer fucking around with the monsterpedia tool and realized this needed highly specific stuff I already had. Unlike previous "hey I can build that!" discoveries I gave it appropriate Talents on purpose so it should do its job better than some of my fusions, ahem.
You may not be shocked to hear that I've reshuffled my entire team four times in two days and in totally unrelated news my plot progress is medicore. But I'm having fun! I was briefly worried I'd be running a full Slime team just to avoid looking at monsters I don't want to look at, but I've broken into the portion of the game where there's options besides "orbular cute" and "ucky".
