Since when has it become acceptable to ask strangers what are in their pants? To yell at them about it across the street if they are a boy or a girl? To act as if they are the victim when the person says it is none of their buisness? & then proceed to throw shit at that person when it is 10:30pm and man I just want this bus to get here so I can get home?
It is always dealing with this or people just pegging me as a he/him. & I just don’t understand?? I’ve been on HRT for like 3 years now, the only visibly AMAB part of me is just my darker than average arm hair (my Adam’s Apple is just… not really that prominent unless these people are spying out everyone’s neck for those)- my hair goes halfway down my back & whenever I am out I do wear a they/them pin on my bag when people shout this out & misgender me??? I would prefer being she/her’d, which even tho it is still misgendering me it is at least reassuring that I am no longer seen as AMAB :/ to know this work is at least paying off.
Idk man- I just think maybe if you have inappropriate questions to ask someone, you just… don’t? Not to be that person™️ but when I was wee it was considered rude to stare or point at strangers, & yelling out these questions at them would be unthinkable. How have things shifted from that to this?
