real actual dragon (θΔ). follow for weird photography stuff and the occasional rawr

big printer is getting sad because i don't give it enough attention. i'm trying to make sure i print some random crap on it every couple weeks or so to keep it in shape but i could print your random crap on there instead

would be looking at around $2 (plus tax and $1.26 postage) for a single color 8x10, or $9 for an 18x24 (plus tax and $10-ish postage). US shipping only. more pricing and service details under the cut

this isn't an immediate advertisement because i need to figure out how to get all my shit in order for Doing a Business. lemme know if it sounds like something you'd use and if enough people do i might have a more serious crack at it. tell your friends and all that

  • 8x10" color print, semi-gloss: about $2
    • plus $1.26 US postage (unfortunately international shipping on any of this is going to be cost-prohibitive)
    • volume discount (could be as low as $0.60 per print depending on quantity. probably $1.50-$1.00 each for stuff in the 2-20 count range. i'd have to figure out an exact price schedule for it)
    • possible discounts for smaller-than-8x10s depending on volume (i.e. if i can batch them. printer don't really like the tiny papers so if you want a 4x6 and nobody else wants a 4x6 i'd probably need to do you for a full sheet)
    • also could be cheaper if the overall volume is high enough that I could print several at once on roll paper
  • 24" roll paper (any length) color print, semi-gloss: about $0.95/ft^2, plus $6 flat-fee
    • can do photos that are smaller than 24" in both dimensions but you'll get billed in terms of linear feet of 24" web 'cause that's how it works
    • that's $8.85 for a 18x24" and $11.70 for a 24x36"
    • plus about $10 shipping
    • doesn't include framing or mounting
  • 24" roll paper (any length) canvas print, semi-gloss: about $2.75/ft^2, plus $6 flat-fee
    • that's $14.25 for a 18x24" and $22.50 for a 24x36"
    • also plus about $10 shipping
    • also doesn't include framing or mounting
  • no garment or fabric printing, sorry. need different equipment for that and it's oh god fuck expensive
  • no guarantees for availability, turnaround or shipping time but i will be communicative about what's going on
    • this is a side hustle, business hours are "when I feel like doing it"
    • i'd ideally be doing batches of ten or fifteen jobs at a time, but it's likely i wouldn't get enough volume for that. may affect pricing and turnaround depending
    • there is basically a fixed cost associated with turning on the machine, so i'm incentivized to run a bunch of stuff at once. part of the impetus for running other people's stuff on here, in fact.
  • digital files or physical negatives accepted. use of physical media may incur additional handling charges
    • but it probably wouldn't be that much. and if you're sending me stuff you shot on 35mm i just about guarantee i can scan it better than you
  • bring-your-own-paper and custom paper orders available. prices for same to be determined on a whatever-the-hell-I-feel-like basis.
  • printing add-on services (layout and design, photo editing, what have you) available. prices for same to be determined on a whatever-the-hell-I-feel-like basis. probably some low-ish hourly rate 'cause i'm not very good at it
