just sent off for the PCBs for this full-scale prototype. assuming everything works (or is close enough to working I can bodge it), the plan is to use this guy to have a first crack at the firmware and then once I have the scanner working reliably I'll make a final revision of the PCB with all the proper mounting holes and connector placements
