i think i might legitimately be getting fifteen stops of dynamic range out of this stuff. the ends of the curve are compressed of course but my zone 0 test shot (five stops below meter exposure) has the the test card very much still as "gray", and i actually had enough film to go all the way down to zone -1 and i can still tell a difference between the test card and elements in the scene that are darker than it. then on the other end at zone XII there's still a noticeable difference between the card and lighter scene elements. absolutely ridiculous shit. and this isn't even Good Film either
literally with a low-contrast subject (and not even all that low-contrast!) i should be able to shoot this stuff like it was anywhere from ISO 3 to ISO 1600 and still get at least okay results out once i process it digitally, and that's before we even get into compensating during development
