real actual dragon (θΔ). follow for weird photography stuff and the occasional rawr

Newest addition to the collection: Graflex Pacemaker Century Graphic (pictured here with my 4x5 Pacemaker Crown). It's like a press camera, but smaller - this guy shoots 2.25x3.25" sheet film, or various 120 formats with the appropriate replacement back (my 6x9cm back is still in the mail, sadly). This one came with a fairly standard configuration - top viewfinder, side rangefinder (which is still mostly in alignment!), and then the lens is the Graflex Graflar 101mm f/4.5 (bad) in a Prontor-SVS shutter (worse). Assuming I like the shooting experience well enough I'll probably try to pick up one of the Kodak or Rodenstock lenses that were available.

Somehow despite now having three Graflex press cameras none of them is a Speed (ok, I guess I technically have a Super Speed Graphic but it doesn't count). I guess I've just always looked at them like "ehhhhhh I dunno that whole focal plane shutter business seems real fiddly". Maybe when I finally find that thrift store Aero Ektar :p
