current prontor-svs incompetence aside1 i think there's a decent chance that sometime in the future I start trying to build out a workshop where I can manufacture new shutter parts. End game there would be to be able to rebuild a Graflex 1000 that's suffered one of their many failure modes without having to resort to buying for-parts copies, both because I suspect mine will eventually fail and because I want to be able to provide repair services to other large format shitheads
1i am also exhibiting a degree of carelessness that i would not if i was working on someone else's equipment and i suspect this is a contributing factor to how bad it's pissing me off
