When you arrive to cohost

make a stubby little post with a few hashtags of your interests and communities, especially if you don’t know anyone.

Unlike the bird site and the face site, it is hard to find people here even when they exist, and you don’t get suggestions from an algorithm. Tags will let likeminded people find you.

also, the hashtag searching/following is GREAT, don't be afraid to just be like "I like sewing" and then follow a bunch of other #sewist s... we're not scary and you can always unfollow if it doesn't work out! :)

A few of my friends have arrived on here, and there doesn't seem to be a way to find out who they're following. This has always been my go-to way of finding people I know on other platforms. Any chance we could get this? :)

i’ve been sending support email for feature requests, but this may be something, like like counts, etc, that was purposely excluded… I have really enjoyed picking up a few friends via word of mouth, and then just treating it as a whole new place to “meet” folks. you’ll organically see your friends follow as they rechost (that’s a word, now) their posts!
