[EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER] is a very, very old meme, and i kinda wonder where it came from. Probably some unknown radio quiz show in the thirties. I'm imagining someone wheeling a basketball scoreboard klaxon between studios at 30 Rock.
But what i find remarkable is it has now returned as an aural meme. Alice Cauldwall-Kelly put the classic noise on her soundboard.
When i was a kid i wired a dryer buzzer to a long lamp cord with a rotating switch, enclosing it in a small cardboard box. [EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER] is not a power you want to give to an eleven-year-old, but i was just funny enough that my parents let me keep it.
