been watching The Tatami Galaxy recently and oh my god its so good. it's sooooo good even though I can barely follow what's even going on. Masaaki Yuasa swinging it out of the park again.

hell yeah my favorite anime (yes i got here through the tags)!!! the second or third time i watched it, i literally played it back at 0.75x speed so i could actually keep up with everything and it didn't even feel slow.
re: ozu... god i'm obsessed with how perspective is portrayed in tatami galaxy, especially with ozu. anyway! enjoy!!!
Oh god yeah, hahah. I'm pretty good at sub skimming, but this one is absolutely a challenge either way.
Perspective is something I'll really have to pay attention to! I'm a huge fan of Yuasa and his animating style and I think his spatial sense is probably a big part of that
