(transcript)
Patrick Bateman is a trans girl who doesn't know itor maybe she does and is super in the closet
consider:
- they aren't afraid to speak up against antisemitism, they also aren't homophobic
- they seem very happy in the raincoat, which is almost like a dress
- they show some of the most emotion in the movie when the gay guy kisses them, running into queerness like that is definitely emotionally charged if you're lgbt
- they have a very thorough skincare routine. feminine behavior
- a lot of trans women pre-transition just don't feel a ton of emotions, or not very strongly either way
- they force two women to perform sexual intercourse on one another. they them try to insert themselves into it, but why have the women start first?
- they are completely disconnected from the idea of "Patrick Bateman". dissociation from one's (assigned) identity is very common with trans folks
- they are super fucking attractive when covered in blood and only women are like that
i think i'd probably reword some of this, but this was my initial summary that i wrote after watching the movie for the first time. again, loose connection, maybe completely illogical. but i'm right.
still not as unhinged as my assertion that suudsu is good
i resent that
