honestly i really really do like tf2. i still feel like i'm constantly learning new stuff, exploring new ideas, and finding new sources of dopamine even after i've already thrown 350 hours into it. it has issues, sure, but most of that is around item balance or the Ongoing Bot Issue. i suppose it's a little silly at this point to expect a 16 year old game to still be getting updates and fixes but it's only because it's a good game! people still play it! i've never felt anything quite like it in nearly any game. it manages to be serious and silly at the same time, and i respect that a lot. i still have goals and things i want to learn and do in the game too; i hope i can squeeze another couple hundred hours out of it in the future. it'd be nice to still be playing it 5 years from now.
