if you are a music fan who uses bandcamp: download all your albums now, preferably as lossless files. this is the main reason i started using bandcamp in the first place, and it might change with new ownership but it hasn't yet to my knowledge.

eventually we might need to switch platforms agains to support artists but at least we won’t be stuck because we got locked in. and as consumers, knowing we can always leave whenever we want to is a way to pressure companies to treat their employees and musicians better.

Short of going to your collection page and clicking 'download' on each item, opening in a new tab and confirming the filetype, I don't see a way to download songs you've bought off bandcamp in any bulk sense - and for some of us who've got purchases dating back to like 2010 it'd be nice to not have to do em one at a time.

Edit:
Installed Batchcamp and giving am giving it a try. So far so good - you still have to manually click a checkbox on each item in your collection, but the settings allow to limit concurrent downloads and queue up things really easily.

I'm primarily a Firefox user so I had to install Chrome to use this but again, it seems like it's doing the trick.

Edit 2:
Thanks to @zandravandra for pointing this out - shift clicking the last item will select the whole library.
As of this edit I’ve backed up my whole library with minimal effort. Def recommend Batchcamp.

took this as an opportunity to check if i could finally get my resonate.coop account out of activation limbo from when i tried that. i did, but it immediately jettisoned my free credits and it was frankly difficult to get to the player in a logged-in state. anyway that's one that sounds like it has potential but is a bit of a technical nightmare at the moment lol

yea! If you go to your extension settings - for Chrome (I haven't tried Firefox version yet) click the puzzle icon, on the pulldown select Batchcamp (the word, not the pin or the menu) and it'll pop up a file format and concurrent downloads dialog
