a question for my developer friends: if i wanted the functionality of bash (or perhaps some other bash-like shell) on windows, but didn't want to use wsl for some reason, what would be the best option? i've tried git bash, which works most of the time? but i'm not the biggest fan.

in reply to @wooby's post:

Depends on which parts you want.

Powershell gives you "better than cmd.exe"

Nushell gives you "actually really good at data slicing"

git bash and cygwin give you general access to bash and the posix userland (as described by other folks)
