I got stuck doing a North Dakotan accent for an hour yesterday, much to the chagrin of my friends.
Ma'am, I am from Minnesota, and we only talk like that a little bit. Not every sentence like in the movie, but like every fourth sentence.
I recently said an earnest "oofda" around a friend who didn't grow up here and she was genuinely surprised we actually do say that here
