PLEASSSEEE im so tired of people encouraging everyone to publicly gang up on one stranger because they like a mlp villain which means theyre toxic n everyone knows being around a toxic person for 3 seconds causes IMMEDIATE DEATH so the solution to that is harass this person all the way offline to protect minors or somethang like that

I know right why can people just not like things without turning it into some sort of fuckin "there has to be an objective reason behind my dislike therefore everyone who likes the thing I dislike is a moral threat to the innocent"

it makes it impossible to take genuine callouts seriously as well 'cause it's like you hear someone get called a groomer and it can mean anything from actually sexting minors to "did a couple cosplay with a 25 year old who's under five foot ten and therefore """""child-coded""""" (an actual one I saw once - the person accused of grooming was younger than the supposed victim)

SO TRUE its all lost meaning to me especially when they bring up the out of context decade old screenshots of deviantart posts as ~evidence~ and like genuinely think thats reasonable its not even a joke πŸ‘οΈπŸ‘„πŸ‘οΈ man ive seen ppl criticising an 18 year old dating a 17 year old bc the 17yro is Literally A Child!!!!!!! ppl act like theyre full on BABIES until theyre 18 and then really suddenly they become exactly equivalent to any 50 year old theres nothing in between

I always think it's a massive red flag when they crop the date stamps out of a screenshot and it turns out to be from years ago because like... you just know they didn't just stumble upon it and make the callout, they started with picking out the profile of a person they wanted to ruin regardless of whether they actually did anything wrong and then went digging for something they could make stick

if the person you're arguing with also enjoys it then of course, go ahead. but most people don't post about the characters and themes and whatnot that they like because they want somebody to come onto their post and try to convince them the stuff they like sucks
