thinking hard about how frisk doesn’t tell anyone anything about themselves, not even their name, until they’re directly asked for it, and they go through so much trauma and have been implied to go through so much trauma already and in the end even the final decision of the game isn’t theirs to make because even the player has been viewing them as a blank self-insert, a shadow of a person, and they don’t know themselves and they don’t know what they’d do and they don’t know who they are or what they will become or what their future is

and all they can do is keep following instructions and then their literal directions are gone and everything ahead of them is an unknown. but like the ghost that lives inside their head, all they can do is keep staring straight ahead, the same blank expression on their face, unable to admit that they’re suffering inside and always have been.
