While Hades was never a good father, I never found him Abusive. Neglectful and Mean, sure, he reacted poorly to his son's wishes and wild spirit (being the most serious of the gods in general)
While you could make an argument for physically abusive, they are immortal gods and the game is a game about fighting stuff. It's not like Zagreus isnt down to chop his dad in half as a pastime anyway
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and reply to this seriously, so: he is unquestionably severely emotionally and verbally abusive to a degree so cartoonish the game plays it for laughs. He is coded as extremely physically abusive, and even in-universe, Zagreus being immortal doesn't mean he doesn't feel pain.
But it's bullshit to talk in Watsonian terms here. Subtextually, in combination with the game's core conceit of literally running away from home, it's about a monstrously cruel and vicious patriarch punishing you for trying to escape an abusive situation by beating you to near death and then dragging you back home against your will. And then this happens, again, dozens of times.
Hades isn't just abusive, he's one of the most borh overtly and subtextually abusive characters I've ever seen in any piece of media. It isn't subtle and this makes the ending legitimately fucked up, and triggering to me, a victim of an abusive father.
