one of the things that drove me nuts in Modern Warfare 2 (2022) was that while the hordes of al quaeda and mexican cartels you were gunning down went unremarked on, in the mission where the evil American PMC turns on you and starts war criming a Mexican city, all these mercenaries started calling each other by name, and i find it's really weird to suddenly start humanizing the yank mooks when you just saw them committing unspeakable crimes ten minutes ago.
