How comforting it must be, dedicating your life and soul to something you wholeheartedly believe in?
yknow, i can never quite click FULLY with one thing. my identities, my beliefs, my politics, theres always ONE thing i just cant endorse personally, ONE thing i disagree with... yeah, Hope wielders dont go through that lmaoo
Hope, in the most watered down definition, is belief, faith. physically, it's often shown through locks in ISOLATED INCIDENT. this manifests in things like ancient manifestos sealed with Hope-blessed locks by devoted rebels, that kind of thing. it symbolises unwavering GRIP, something that refuses to budge. it can also, obviously, protect something- as faith often does.
Hope wielders arent zealots; at least not naturally. they live their lives on a very strict system that revolves around their beliefs, which makes their moral compass EXTREMELY deadset and their morals VERY obvious. Hope wielders know exactly what they want and why they want it, they're fairly 2 dimensional when it comes to their way of judging situations or people. this directness makes it very easy for them to find, relate to, and comfortably settle under a leader.
they are loyal as fuck, and rarely ever question what they're told if theyre hearing it from someone who they think shares their same goals. this applies vice versa too, as in; if a Hope wielder thinks you do NOT share their goals, it is almost impossible to convince them what youre trying to do is good. which is why Hope wielders are very ripe to be turned into zealots, if theyre raised with certain destructive beliefs, they just wont let them go...
hey aren't leaders, by any stretch of the word. they can keep a likeminded group together for maybe a week, but they cannot understand differences in mentality deeply enough to actually DO something in a group. they absolutely love their comrades, and whoever else they deem likeminded, but leading? hard to do, theyre way happier being a cog in the machine, they love being relied on and seeing their work enact the change they want to see in the world.
