hey have you ever heard of how jesus basically had to sort of kind of bullshit his way into getting people to listen to him cuz that whole thing of "Open your mouth and God will speak for you!" was left sort of, unexplained....
plot holes? in THE BIBLE? gosh...
(SPOILERS FOR THE BLOODRIPPER ERA AND ATAYAN'S... EVERYTHING)
Every Aspect in II is entirely sentient and chooses who they grant their powers to. this means that Heirs are an Aspect's like, most speciallest boy. an Heir is an Aspect's CHOSEN one, that's THE one, like an Aspect looked at you and thought "you represent everything i am and everything i exist for, you get to take me by the ESSENCE and wield me to your wiles, i am yours as you are mine"
kind of romantic, in a way... especially Blood, which brings me to the topic at hand. Blood is a gruff, distant father. Blood does not know all, it is not omnipotent in the slightest, but Blood omnipresent. Blood is brotherhood, Blood is connection, Blood is love, Blood is struggle, Blood is determination... Which, then breaches me on to Jesus Christ. Which might be the funniest fucking thing ive ever written before
Jesus' stories obviously detail his insistent "love over violence" ideals, but you gotta realise Jesus was literally made to be a mouthpiece for everything God wanted. even his horrendous death was entirely planned and MADE TO HAPPEN
"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:28 (HCSB)
i cant iterate this enough, but Jesus was afraid of being crucified, and actively did not want to die. his love of humanity and trust in God was what got him to that situation, because he was entirely aware of his upcoming betrayal. utter blind faith and BELIEF took him there, to one of the most painful deaths man could have gone through at the time, and he TOOK it too. he was praying for the forgiveness of his killers while he was up there all waitin to bleed to death
i realise that thats a bit of a strange story to rope into a webcomic, and i have to state here that im agnostic and dont really care if god does or doesnt exist- i wouldnt alter my lifestyle no matter what religion turned out to be right, and if god doesnt exist, i dont care
do you ever think about how he might feel watching what his followers have become now..? all that preaching about and PLEADING for mercy, his entire life spent "without sin", his horrible death, all just sorta... tossed away. by his own followers, might i add. his and his Father's message have since been entirely defaced and twisted- for the gain of evildoers and, yknow, SINNERS. for capital or for revenue or for earthly pleasure...
i think the general IDEA of spending your entire life and building an entire uprising just to make something right in the world, only for your gruesome death to end up undoing all of it just sits with me. i dunno why. it coils in my stomach like a heavy serpent, i can never seem to digest the ethereal pain of that. its not even disappointment, then. it must be agony.
how does all of this relate to The Bloodripper Prophet? well... if you've read II, im uhh... im sure you can piece a few things together.
