People gotta remember that the ASSC folks have a limited number of levers they can pull in terms of rule enforcement that pretty much boil down to "can post y/n". Be careful what you demand in terms of rules unless you're really into everyone saying "unalive" and "yahtzee" when trying to talk about the world as it exists like on tiktok.

I hate hate hate that kind of stuff and the algorithms that fuel that paranoia. I want to be able to post like nobody's watching. I think this place could use some algorithms, maybe, to help people find interesting conversations, but I really hope they don't need to use them for moderation.

I made a few comments about the weekend's brouhaha over on my private twitter (specifically about how I don't think it was an accident that I already had a substantial portion of the major players blocked) and I had multiple other Cohost users - regular users, who've been here basically since the beginning - say that they hadn't encountered even a whisper of this supposed sitewide culture crisis that's tearing The Community apart. Maybe something to keep in mind when proposing sweeping changes to moderation policy or security features
