cohost is one of many 'services' from the internet that has just chosen to not follow manipulative profit-making practices, with the intent being that as many people as possible can use it and get what they want out of it...
it's been really inspiring / hope feeding for me to see the kind of organizing that can happen online because i've realized that ... i do kinda live on here.
like i'm trying to go outside and expand my ability to interact w my actual local community, but because i've never really had access to the kind of money/stability/health you need to really grow & thrive in the world as we've known it so i've been finding alternatives that don't cost me anything on the internet since i was a teen
blender, cohost, ao3, fuckin ... youtube sort of if u think about it as an educational tool to be used for good ...
i guess when i think about what a future that doesn't suck ass could look like i think most often about what the internet can provide for people... if i think about a global society without borders, like .. thats basically the internet already and it gets closer to that all the time ..... i hope it can continue to grow that way
