A lot of Dreamcast fans approach the fact that so many of its very best games are now available elsewhere with a list of pedantic and exclusionary caveats, in a well-meant attempt to preserve the pioneering hardware's legacy. A lot of ports "don't count" because only the Dreamcast has a VMU, something else will be brushed aside as it's just "not right" when played on a PlayStation 2/Xbox/PC, perhaps a minigame will be missing (or added), rendering a later, cheaper, more readily available release different enough for someone to tenuously claim the Dreamcast version's still exclusive.

I'd rather say that seeing these games thrive elsewhere, for unintended audiences on hardware they were never supposed to run on, is something to be embraced and celebrated.

It proves how great these games really are. They weren't special because they were expensive or only available on a console that burned brightly for a too-short period of time, they were special because they were special.
