What I'm hearing from tech YouTubers is that you can tame it by manually typing the correct power limits for your CPU into BIOS settings because the defaults are... not that. And this is apparently not the SI's or mobo OEM's faults because Intel is giving them the different numbers to set.

I'm not saying it isn't stupid but at least there's something to do about it.
