Pre-registration has started for Touhou Gensou Eclipse, the horizontal, free-to-play smartphone STG announced years ago by danmaku veterans Cave and finally scheduled for release in Japan on November 22: fan artist u_u_zan is in charge of character designs and main illustrations, and they already have a ton of known community members and circles queued up to contribute art, music, etc.

His site is here. I stumbled across it while trying to do some additional bookkeeping for this personal project I'm working on because I want to make sure it works on Dragonfly.

I fucking miss websites and art like this being omnipresent so much from the mid-00s internet. Also, you can't tell me they're not lesbians.

Ooh, pressure sensitivity is real?!

I'm being hyperbolic here, but as someone who's not artistically inclined nor ever used a drawing tablet of any sort before, being able to use an active stylus to draw on a screen with different levels of pressure and whatnot? That's pretty cool!

No news to artists who've been using, say, Wacom tablets and such for years, but for little old me? Practically magic.

Doesn't help with my lack of artistry, tho - can't even sketch a Takodachi without getting the proportions all wrong. Welp.

(Also, semi-related, the screen on the Surface Pro 3 is somehow pretty awesome; guessing due to the resolution for its size?)

bro its not retro or vintage or old school, its an empty dell optiplex case from like 2007 thats been sitting in a garage full of insects for most of its life. "WOW! I CAN GET SO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS!!!!!" no. you cannot. nobody is going to buy a dented and scratched husk of a school computer thats old enough to vote. you are going to list it on ebay as an auction with a shipping price of $89.36 and become baffled and confused when not a single person bids on it.
