shortly after itch.io introduced its forums that the ttrpg community was hoping we might be able to centralize there and use it as a replacement for google+ re: hosting long-form discussion. unfortunately this never happened because all tabletop theory was immediately solved forever when the first theory thread was "games: good or bad?" and @soleilraine promptly responded "a game killed my father"
