oops i spent like 6 hours planning routing and testing an all sidequests speedrun of dragon's dogma oops i'm not even remotely close to being done oops whoops oopsie
this is such a nightmare to route and test lmfao
i'm only about a third of the way into routing this and i've been playing along with my route to make saves for practice/testing but i didn't take into account that i'm a fucking moron who has to keep scrapping everything because i forgot things or didn't know about major issues with my plans
the newest problem i've run into is i have no idea how i can afford the maker's finger and pilgrim's charm from fournival while also having enough for consumables i need throughout the run. i can get almost exactly the number needed for the finger and charm, but then i'd be out of stamina items for the next section until i complete a quest or find something to sell. which like, idfk what's worth what in this game so i haven't been picking anything up
i'd really hate to end up completing the entire route only to get halfway through a test run and realize there's something horribly wrong with it, but i think that's gonna end up being far more efficient than what i've been doing so far lmao
it's been too long since i've had to put in this kind of work for a speedrun. not used to it
in retrospect this method of making saves was never going to make any sense with how i've been having to add detours in earlier places as i work through the game from start to finish
