fucking of course they're killing nitter. the only way i had to keep up with friends still on twitter without making an account. wish people would finally jump off that sinking ship
RSS is actually so incredibly useful that i'm frustrated i only started using it this year out of necessity to replace twitter as my Place To Get Updates
i noticed the RSS icon on a kijiji search and it immediately clicked that i can just have these posts sent directly to me. i now get notified the instant anyone in nova scotia makes a listing for computers/accessories, free stuff, and TVs that match the search terms CRT, tube, or PVM. i might add a few more searches for obscure games and other hardware
and like, i could have always been doing this! this was just always fucking here! but because i didn't understand what RSS was aside from "that thing that every website seemed to start pushing in like 2006 without explaining what the fuck it was" i just never bothered with it and started relying on social media to find anything related to my interests
anyway that's my monthly "use RSS" post i guess. how've you been since the last one
lmao sony's removing twitter integration from PS4/5?? the website has never been so dead
i got SO much use out of that in the 12 months i semi-regularly used my ps4. i can't imagine how i'd feel if i were still doing that and lost access to an incredibly useful feature all because one dipshit doesn't understand the barebones basics of business (the quadruple B)
