best part of videogames is when you're coming up to a boss and you get a cutscene of the enemies discussing how they have no choice but to use That Weapon and then you get a nice little five minute section where you're wondering what the fuck That Weapon is and how the hell you're going to beat it

man i just don't know if i have it in me anymore for open world games. something about them exhausts me, even when i find myself enjoying them. i'm really liking dragon's dogma 2 but i can't play it for more than a few hours before feeling like i have to put it down for a while. i remember having similar issues with elden ring, even at its best i just got so tired of exploring after a while
don't really think it helps that every open world game is so damn big now and i'm still really unconvinced they need to be so huge
