welcome to my personal hell

dragon warrior iii for the game boy color describes me as "stubborn", and i'm tempted to agree with that assessment

in "pointless things nobody will care about", the title screen for this thing actually writes a line of blank tiles directly under where the copyright goes.

these are the kinds of utter minutiae that probably wouldn't be fit for a tcrf article. "a blank string exists, somewhere." yeah, ok, cool. but i like it, so you get to hear about it, too.

(the background colors are an artifact of setting up this screen to do my bidding.)

fun fact: both of my disassemblies of these crap gambling games started with hacks. first, a bootleg of dian shi ma li that edited out the title text (and maybe added some multicart code); second, jackpot... which itself appears to be a recompiled version of shui guo li, the taiwanese original.

so now i'm juggling three versions of this stupid gambling game.
