i finished the future is disabled and the entirety of my thoughts are "wow this is great for who in the disabled community it's for! which isn't me." because it seems so based around disability justice as something done in like. social groups almost? and the extent that neurodevelopmental disability or mental illness is given space for is not judging people for mood swings and allowing people to be long-winded. which is like just NOT accessible for people who are less normatively insane (oxymoron, but i can't think of better words). for people with extremely low support needs who are good at masking and are capable of social functioning, i'm sure this book would be revolutionary in giving ways of imagining local organization as a more accessible way and reframing the friendship already in their life. there was some things that were wonderful thought exercises for me in how to hold accessible events, but that is the extent of what i got out of the book
