1. these are even creepier than he gave them credit for. one is based on the maltese falcon. one is based on david cronenberg's the fly!!! some of these would have scared the shit out of me as a kid

2. these absolutely have an inconsistently used four note musical motif. it's sometimes extended to seven notes. here is the sound cue from this era as i understand it- first the four notes, and then the seven note way the four notes are often expanded on. sorry it sounds bad, this was recorded with a free piano website and my phone.

if you're thinking "xyzzy, this sounds like welcome to the black parade"- yeah, it absolutely fucking does. that's one of the most cursed things about all of this. literally only the last note is different in the 7-note version. so MCR did not Quite plagiarize the disney channel.....
