Best Sonic Zone Music Tournament!

Inspired by Fadel's "The FINAL Best Sonic Song Debate." video I went to UwUFUFU to play the tournament myself and discovered that the most popular Sonic OST tournaments on that website simply don't have enough music in their rosters. And so I decided to make one myself...

First of all, huge huge thanks to @rayactivefactory for making this beautiful banner for the tournament! *--*

I really didn't want to mix all kinds of in-game music into one tournament, so I had to set some limitations. And that's how I decided to only focus on music from the ZONES — only main stages, no boss music, no special or bonus stages.

I started working on compiling a big spreadsheet of all the Zone Music, but to make this process more interesting for myself I decided to choose the tracks I want to see in the tournament and not just add every single possible one of them. All Sonic music tournaments I played had a very subjective roster of tracks in them, so I personally was okay with mine also having some amount of subjectivity — I just wanted the roster to be as diverse as possible. And I'm really sorry if your all-time favourite Sonic track is not in there...

But! You can totally suggest your favourite music that I missed to be added to this tournament, and I'll gladly do that! Especially since the UwUFUFU's tournament structure only works with the power of two brackets, I really want to hit the 512 tracks mark (right now we are at 428). So here's my spreadsheet of all the included music — please take a look if you're interested and let me know in the comments which main stage tracks I should add!

  • Sonic Adventure 2 - Cannon's Core - Scramble for the Core
  • Sonic Adventure 2 - Cannon's Core - Cooperation
  • Sonic Generations - Rooftop Run (Modern)
  • Sonic Generations - Planet Wisp (Classic)
  • Sonic Battle - Chao Ruins

Omg, thank you very much! I completely forgot about the PC port music! And yeah, I had to remove Doomsday Zone from the list (even though I love it very much), because it's technically a boss stage... -___-

Lemme just throw a whole bunch of suggestions in here so I can make future runs through of this tournament even harder on me than it already is:

There's also these couple songs that are a bit more questionable since they're the platforming sections of what are otherwise boss zones; I'm including them here because Sunset Park (Act 3) is already in the mix and it fits the same criteria:

There's also also the Sonic 3 prototype tracks, which are just the original versions of the S&K Collection songs; these tracks are also good:
