Decided I should mention I Like Movies (2022) [letterboxd] — a movie I watched not long ago that has easily become one of my favourites.
It's a perfect coming-of-age story about a 17-year-old gremlin who likes movies that hits too close to home.
This trailer for it is really really great and is the best presentation of what you are about to see if you decide to watch it.
I have to also mention content warnings though:
mentions of suicide, self-harm, mentions of sexual assault, anxiety attackEDIT: It was also the first movie in ages for me where the credits song was really good and memorable and resonated greatly with me and, I think, with the movie itself.
