Finished watching the second season, and I'm just sitting here pondering life, femininity, family, relationships, community...

I also can't stop thinking now about making some similar story with two Russian 40-50 year old women living in the same panel'ka in the nowadays reality, and discovering their feelings to each other and the world around them. And maybe there's also a young trans woman living alone in the same building that they get to know and help in some way...

It's really obvious and simple how much of a help a TV show like Tsukutabe (PSA-heavy, but still emotional and heartwarming) can be for changing the mainstream perspective on the topic, when it's being broadcasted on a big public television channel (NHK G) at 10:45PM.
