i'm about 5-10 instance of "hm i wish this would do this instead" away from bashing my head/fingers against vim and spending 2-48 months setting up FWVM (thankfully only 2 instances of that so far)
wmaker is the probably the best computer ui i've ever used (if i ever get to use nextstep, it will probably also be nextstep), has what i liked from bourgeois BSD (dock, things in the dock bouncing) without what i dislike in mac OS >9 (the amalgamation of good mac os with nextstep)
its been a decade since i've used any variant of the 1970's mainframe in a major capacity but i missed the terminal dearly
