Honestly like yeah I think that's the reason so many people stuck around there. I'm hopeful that like this site and such will also allow for the meeting of cool people though.
Twitter generally felt to me like I was talking to interesting people inside of the world's worst bar. I feel way better overall now that I'm not spending time there but I do hope I don't lose contact with the people I met
