hi folks
gonna chost some pics from some of my shows here, but i just got done with my third flashband this year and had a blast.
for those who don't know, flashband is a lil org in washington, DC where you get together with a buncha people to jam at the start of a month, create a little band and perfect a 15 minute set with a certain theme (i've done one-hit wonders, punk odyssey, and resistance & revolution) over the course of a month, and then perform at a real-ass venue at the end! it's a real fun way to like, branch out into playing shows as a musician without the hassle of forming your own band (that being said, I do want to form my own irl band soon, watch this space).
one of the cool things about them is you get gig pictures too, and i've gotten some stellar ones, both from my partner and from the professional photog there. they're attached to this chost.
i hope this doesn't feel like bragging, and it is a bit of narcissus' mirror, but i want to show you some of these rad pics!
(ps everyone in these bands were super cool, the drummer for the most recent band was 13 and he kicked so much ass!!!)
