starlings would make a mess of the bird seed, but grackles were absolutely the biggest bullies on the bird feeder when I was growing up
grackles, yeah, i think weirdly the mourning doves might be a really close second?
the main difference is i dont think it's intentional on their part so much as they are just large and awkward and will sit directly in the middle of the seed tray so everyone else just kinda has to get out of their way
Ahhh, I think my mom must have intentionally bought feeders with perches too small for pigeons and dives. They'd always just mill underneath and peck at the scattered leftovers
oh we get these weird birds foraging under the feeder but i can't ID them, they're not in my field guide
