i feel like buying multiple years of cohost plus does not necessarily solve the problem long term, because how many people that boost their subscription now will come back and boost it again next year
i wonder if the fastest thing short term would be a donation widget + tip jar, while working on eggbux or other solutions
absolutely this, honestly, though for their own ethical reasons* the donation widget should be tied to cohost plus and give an accurate count of what they need for the month
what I often call the "wikipedia model" can and does work. just be transparent about what you need! (and don't go using it for other things that make it more expensive, either...)
* cohost isn't a non-profit and can't take donations in the normal sense, taking multiple cohost pluses despite them having zero benefit to you is the "donation" option basically
