Followup to oh they stole ALL the code
I made a HuggingFace account and made this report.
I have my doubts that HuggingFace will act on this report, because HuggingFace seems to have a friendly relationship toward this project and put their logo on it.
However, if HuggingFace comes to SWH's defense, that's actually kind of convenient, because HuggingFace is headquartered right here in the United States. We can use well-known tools like the DMCA against them if they try to be SWH's shield.
Of course, that won't address the original problem of Software Heritage deadnaming people on their own site. If I figure out what the interaction is between SWH's data store (the one where they deadname me and refuse to stop) and their dataset on HuggingFace, I might be able to also report them for violating the HuggingFace code of conduct.
