un-pinned my "looking for work" post. it never got anyone to stop by who could help with it (maybe I should've drawn something for it?) and the current state of the job market in my field (programming, database engineering) is a mess. realistically, going by the fact I've been unemployed now for nearly 22 months, I'm going to be making my little games and little tools for artists slowly over time, while doing some other kind of work to keep the lights on.

sticking extra musing behind this thing maybe making more of my art will help; I've wanted to try making comics for two decades, I could try to start now. I could also do more writing, which I've always found easier than drawings; maybe doing a little illustration, even a sketch, will help stories out a little too.

maybe people will actually like my code projects too, when they're something they can run and that they might find useful. the Night Sky Generator is coming, it's just been slow to work on.

maybe I'll start up streaming again. I used to stream games regularly and have a weekly schedule and everything, including "Days that End in Ys", my project to complete every mainline Ys game. all that dropped off when I started my old game dev tools job and had way less time for it. but for a while I'd had a lot of time, but also burnout. maybe it's worth spinning that back up again.

I doubt any of these will pay all our bills, in the end. but I'll figure something out.

for now, I have to focus on the cross-country move, including bonus three or four day drive. maybe when I'm back on the coast and have a chance to recover, I'll find something in field. maybe I'll go stock shelves. I don't know yet. nothing is certain.
