If they ever update Cohost to collapse repeated posts in your timeline and allow you to turn off boosts from individual people I am 100% going to follow people way more regularly on here.
these are likely my two biggest problems too
the deduplicator userscript is sorta alright - not perfect but well enough to make the timeline more usable
"this person seems interesting but rebugs like 50 things im not even a little interested in for every actual post they make and would drown out my entire timeline" is harder to deal with, and i already have a really low capacity for social media sites
(i only follow like a few tens of people because of it...)

using the "following" view makes this easier to deal with, but the duplicate posts are still there. they just don't take up potentially entire pages worth of space anymore. I'd like to not have to use the following view to read through the site tho, idk
