How are you supposed to draw a furry's face from a low angle, where they're looking down at the camera, without their eyes being hidden by their snout

From what I've seen there's usually some trickery going on to shorten the muzzle without it being too noticeable.
And just angling the face down.
It seems like I'm ending up angling it down and a little to the side... 
I should leave it alone for now and go on to the rest of the sketch though

Your head shape does get around this pretty well though!!
Well if it's a herbivore or prey animal, they might have their eyes on the side of their head, so they can look down (or even behind!) without their head blocking the view. 
But yes, your plan to turn the head to the side to keep eye contact is a good one. It's rare in art to be looking at a face head on. Even your pfp has the head slightly in profile. Good luck!
It’s true, but unfortunately my style of anthropomorphizing involves moving the eyes to the front 😅
