SO, i think i'm gonna try to do a logo design challenge to keep my creative muscles active. i've got a list of 31 fictional companies (crowdsourced by friends!) and i'm gonna try to redesign one logo per day, every day of july. you can see the full list in advance here, if you want, or be surprised. here goes!!!
today: weyland-yutani from alien. unfortunately i picked a hard one for my first logo without realizing it. the existing logo is pretty good with the layered W and Y, so it's hard to one-up that. still, i was inspired by the pulse rifle design for this, and attempted to have hints of the handle shape in the frame, and the ammo readout in the founding date. not super happy with this one as my first logo, but can't dwell on it forever, the whole point is to bang out one a day!
