this is an extremely light anime season which mean no one has an excuse to not be watching Undead Girl Murder Farce!!! supernatural detective mystery!!!!!!! vampire whodunnit! people standing in rooms explaining how their deductions were merely simple observations!! it kicks ASS
some spoilers of the cast of characters in the second arc for those not yet convinced to watch the show
DO YOU WANT TO SEE SHERLOCK HOLMES AND WATSON TEAM UP WITH TWO JAPANESE DEMONS AND THEIR MAID TO SOLVE THE MYSTERY OF ARSENE LUPIN AND THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA STEALING PRIZED POSSESSIONS FROM PHILEAS FOGG WHILE BEING MENACED BY MORIARTY, CARMILLA, AND FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER??????? I BET YOU DOif you are the sorta person that's ok with doing sorta abnormal watch orders: skip the first episode, then watch it after episode 4 (the end of the first arc). treat the first episode as a bit of an interstitial flashback between arcs. the pacing is better this way and it's more fun to meet the characters as the first mystery unfolds imo
also it has a cool kpop op
co-signed, this is my favorite show this season and features one of my favorite styles of storytelling: throw 20ish characters into a box and shake it up to see how they all react upon bumping into each other.
it also has excellent storyboarding and direction, which some really fun layouts despite now being a huge budget show. directed by the director of Kaguya-sama, Mamoru Hatakeyama!
