hoo boy! that's a lot of logos! i'm glad i did this, but at the start i didn't realize i'd also be doing this during the same time i'd be crunching on finishing up the videos i was making for the end of my Star Wars TTRPG campaign. i also did a client logo design during that same time period! on one hand, July has been basically my most productive month ever, in terms of pure art made -- on the other, i'm very tired now, lol.

still! very happy with this overall, even if i know there were some days i just kinda dumped something very basic online. thank you for the shares and likes! i hope everyone who saw these posts got some enjoyment out of them, and i was also incredibly thrilled when other folks joined in to do the challenge with me. thanks to everyone who did so! if you're interested, you're welcome to access the list and do it yourself anytime. make sure to tag it, so i can see it and reblog it!

who knows, may make up another list and do this again next year! thanks!

shameless engagement bait: what's your favorite logo out of the bunch? it’s always interesting to see which ones hit with other people, because it’s usually not my faves!

day 31 of the yotsuben logo redesign challenge: Rosen Ritter

big fan of Legend of the Galactic Heroes over here! The Rosen Ritter are particularly fun because there's often concern about guns setting off explosions inside ships when engaging in close combat... so the Rosen Ritter is called in to board ships and just use their axes to mow enemy soldiers down instead. It's great, lmao

Every existing design is a military-style patch, so I decided to go a different direction, like an emblem that could be printed on their armor or the sides of ships.

And that's 31 logos, one done for every day in July! I'll have a wrap-up post going up soon!

day 30 of the yotsuben logo redesign challenge: Dodo Airlines

Dodo Airlines from Animal Crossing was always some cute branding, and Nintendo did a good job with the blue and yellow color scheme plastered everywhere. I thought here it'd be fun to bounce off of Wilbur's aviators, maybe go a bit more 80s? Good old Cooper Black will never fail ya.

Almost at the end now, tomorrow is the final logo of the challenge! phew!

tomorrow: Rosen Ritter (from Legend of the Galactic Heroes)

day 29 of the yotsuben logo redesign challenge: Medical Mechanica

just hitting some fundamentals today, nothing too crazy, just gettin the type laid out as nicely as possible. lot of letters to squeeze together here and look like they're getting flattened. getting close to the end, now!

(don't talk to me about any of the FLCL sequel series.)

tomorrow: Dodo Air!
