my dad has a friend who wrote a book about indian cultural history since the times of ancient india, from the harappan civilization that preceded indo-aryan migration to the subcontinent up until the age of the mughals, just before the british raj. recently i found out that this book got made into a video series by the wire1, where he narrates brief summaries of the various cultures and cultural exchanges that took place over the course of indian history!

namit uncle, is, honestly, a little corny as a narrator, but in a way i can't help but be fond of. his historical work seems to be very sound, and he's apparently managed to win the respect of other materialist indian historians like romila thappar. he very very briefly shout outs the charvaka school in this second ep, which i enjoyed :)
