- south asian culture has influenced huge portions of southeast asia but i had no idea that "bhai" (hindi for "bro") had stayed intact all the way down to malaysia...
- kidd santhe, the second guy who shows up here, is an indian-malay dude with some real fun lyrics. most malay translates reasonably well in google but there's one i can't figure out:
Bawak awek makan apa ja, pakwe dia takleh chill/Boleh chudiya makan dalam belanja bill
translate gives this as "what do you bring to eat, uncle he can't chill/can chudiya eat in the shopping bill," or alternately as "you can eat it, eat in the shopping bill." however: "bole chudiyan" is a well-known hindi song, the literal meaning of which is "my bangles are saying." if anybody has any knowledge of malay and can synthesize these into a coherent line i would be tremendously grateful
